RA-C Stalls

On Saturday 16th June RA-C were invited to take part in The Young Children's festival in Castle Park. We sold delicious Falafel wraps along with Baba Ganoush and Houmous on our food stall. As well as selling merchandise the children were able to have their names written in Arabic and decorate their name cards.

Our next stall will be at Big Sunday 8th July 11am at Firstsite - we look forward to seeing you there.

Temporary halt to deportation of Frail Nepalese Lady

Sometimes we are approached on a matter of Immigration which does not essentially form part of our designated work. This case is one such matter. I am sure you will agree that it is worth attention.

The Nepalese Community in Colchester has grown out of a clear desire by the community here to support the resettled Ghurkha soldiers who have worked for our Armed Forces both abroad and at home for many years.

Hearing that so many of them have been facing immigration problems came as a surprise. Will Quince MP and Cllr Tina Bourne have been trying to support this family for some time.

The good news is that the Deportation is on hold at present pending a full review thanks to your signatures and our MP visiting both the Home Secretary and the Immigration Minister to ask for a compassionate solution. .
